Do you want to go to the seaside?

If anyone's undecided about their summer, staying at home in rainy ol' ireland, or contemplating heading to Oxegen, give the Benicassim Festival in Spain some consideration. This blossoming musical frenzy is set to explode onto the sleepy little town of Benicassim for ten days in the middle of July. Two hours from Barcelona, the town is surrounded by a picture-esque beach that is transformed into a festival venue at around 8pm every night until the acts finish at 5-6am every morning. This is not for the faint hearted. Kings of Leon are going to blow the house down while our very own Fight Like Apes are set to make the Irish proud. More acts are still to be announced but it's shaping up to be an epic journey. A crowd of us are hitting the festival shores for the ten days, with a bit of sun, sand and sea travelling for a few weeks afterwards. Particularly looking forward to seeing Boys Noize, Mystery Jets, Steve Aoki and TV on the Radio - acts that apparently excel in live form.
