3.1 Phillip Lim

A lot of new 3.1 Phillip Lim pieces arrived yesterday to Brown Thomas's Young Contemporary, securing my decision that Lim is one of my favourite fashion designers to emerge in the last few years. Some of the pieces are a bit risky for a store where customers thrive on old fashioned Louise Kennedy and tacky Juicy Couture bits, but they are beautiful all the same. Even if the collection doesn't do well, let's hope the buyers have enough sense to bring in the Louboutin/Lim shoe collaboration (also seen above), which would fly off the shelves in no time. Oh the prettiness!

I need to get my hands on a pink blazer. Alexander Wang's SS09 collection is hitting Young Contemporary in Brown Thomas sometime this week but alas my bank balance can only afford a sleeve, if even a shoulder pad. Good thing Topshop has come out with a high street version, which might actually be a tad cooler than the catwalk version with more of an eighties feel.
